Wow it's already October
Holy crap yall, I cant believe it's already October now, like, where did the year go!??
Anyways, Im going to work hard at drawing more and actually using all the supplies I have gathered. I also want to work on getting into a better mindset and body

Hey all, the hubby and I bought a house. Ive been working from home since March 2020 due to the pandemic. Eventually they will send us back to the office, but I really hope we get to stay home.
The two video games I like playing are Ark (the dino game lol) mainly single player creative, once PS5s are being sold again the hubby and I will be able to play a dedicated server with friends, normal mode haha.
Minecraft, Im a newbie nothing special, but I enjoy having fun on easy mode, and I prefer keep inventory.
I have too many hobbies and no specialties. Too bad we gotta work for a living.
Life Updates
The hubby and I are in the middle of buying a house.
Just sent the seller the short the list of things needed to be fixed.
The inspector said it was a very good inspection so YAY.
Our lease in the apartment ends in mid July so we really want to be moved in by June in the new house!!!

Due to the virus, work JUST Friday announced our department was moving to a 50/50 staffing model.
Where one week we work Mon, Wed, Fri, the next Tues, Thurs, Sat, and it will keep rotating until further notice.
Even though we will only be working 3 days a week, we will STILL be getting paid for all 5!
So while, working on a Saturday will SUCK, being paid on the other two days while at home doing what I want, it a good trade off.
DMV today was lovely
I got there at 8:32, and got my ticket B36 haha
and was back in my car at 8:54
I went to finally get my name changed to my married name on my Driver's License lol
And the lady said she could print an updated registration for the two cars Im on!
YAY
So nice...so rare...she was new...I hope she never loses that pleasantness.
So Many Life Changes
At the end of July (28th) I resigned from my old job (of 7 years) to try a career switching opportunity as a 6th and 7th History and English teacher in a small rural Elementary School. My husband was hired as the Math and Science for the same grade. We thought this was just made for us, as everything we were worried about came into place. We found a 4 room cabin to live in for only $300 a month.....I love our neighbor, and we both had great pay (well not awesome but just fine for us). The new job was almost 2 hours from where we used to live so me getting the job in the same place, and moving right next door was amazing.
But then I couldn't handle the rigor of teaching...I thought I was doing rather well...as that was what the feedback was...up until day 22, when I was told they felt the last 22 days were a waste. They told me I had to make huge changes within 1 week or they would review for termination. Well this came as a complete shock to me, so to help me they had me observe other teachers...but I couldnt change fast enough for me. Now remember I had NO background whatsoever in teaching, so I was relying on them to provide constant feedback of my methods. They said I didnt model enough and didnt like how I used powerpoint so much. So school started August 10, 2017 (for teachers August 1, 2017) and my last day was September 29, 2017. So I've been out of the job, helping the hubby with his Science lessons plans and such (since the school doesnt care about science because its not SOL'd).
But still 4 lesson plans as a first year teacher was hard for him, and knowing his limits he also resigned...the principal was going to have his last day be Wednesday, November 22...but decided to just have him not come back in. So now he can't say goodbye to the kids or anything. He wasnt even told that his substitute lesson plans were not going to be used...so right there the principal wasted our time. The principal told him he can come in Wednesday after school to turn in his laptop, keys, etc, and pick up his stuff.
I just feel like we were given an injustice. I left a GOOD job, I was making $19/hr, benefits, 401k, and I was a top performer because we were told we would be part of the family. Now it just feels like we are being kicked aside.
The other day I filed for unemployment, and am trying to see about getting back with my old job. Hiring has closed for my old department....but another opportunity is popping up for a different department...same pay I'm told...so I'm going to go for it. The only problem is, this is again back in our old city (almost 2 hours away). So Ill be moving back in with my parents, in the bottom bunk to share with my adult sister (and my adult brother lives at home too still-though he gets to start his new job this spring and will be moving). But all week I wont see my husband, and the only time will really be the weekend when he drives down. So this is really upsetting. We dont want to move until he finds another teaching position which, middle of the year, is HARD. Once he does find a new job we will find a place in the middle.
On the top of all this, our dog in cat's fur (our cat is huge and looks like a tom Ive been told but he's neutered) is now a RURAL outdoor cat. If we move into an apartment, he's gonna be upset. I will also miss my neighbor who has become like a sister to me.
